Overview

Farmgrass is a central Texas based non-profit with the mission of promoting the mental and physical well-being of local, independent farmers. When the farmers who grow the food for our farmers markets and our favorite farm-to-table restaurants get sick or hurt, they struggle to maintain their jobs, their homes, their families, and their livelihoods. Farmgrass is dedicated to helping our local farmers in need by raising emergency medical funds. Our innovative and exciting events showcasing local food and music also help raise awareness in the community about farmers and their struggles.

We strive to positively impact oral healthcare for under-served students lacking dental insurance or access to care by providing onsite dental education, resources, and preventative procedures on a mobile clinic on the school campuses. Our Dental Decay Prevention Program’s mission is to stop decay through exams, x-rays, cleanings, sealants, and fluoride varnish applications in order to establish healthy oral health habits. School absences are reduced in students that receive preventative checkups and their overall health is positively impacted. Our program also teams up with local dental offices to encourage parents & students to choose a permanent dental home for long-term oral care.
